Useful Photography Tip

You want to highlight a particular object in a picture to make it stand out above the rest. Try this simple trick. You don't need an expensive Nikon for this one!

Focus the camera lens on a specific object by pressing the shutter button half-way down. When the lens has focused on that object, keep holding the button. You are now free to re-position the camera to get the picture you want. The focused object will remain focused and the background/foreground will blur.

See the following two pictures of the same view but the first with the foreground focused and the second with the background very much in focus.
